Chihiro Watanabe entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre in 2015 and became a Kodo member in 2018. On stage, Watanabe is mainly featured on taiko drums and bamboo flutes. From 2017 to 2021, she has gained a wealth of experience touring throughout Japan for “Kodo Interactive Performances” and School Workshop Performances. Her cheery disposition and beaming smile help her connect to audiences with ease.
While small in stature, Watanabe delivers powerful performances with great physicality. She thoroughly enjoys the process of creating productions with her colleagues that will draw audiences into an extraordinary feel-good space.
