Join Kodo at Tokyo’s Bunkamura Orchard Hall this November for the heart of our 40th anniversary celebrations. We are presenting a special four-day performance series featuring three commemorative works back to back. Two of the works are our 40th Anniversary touring productions, “Tsuzumi” and “Warabe.” For this special occasion, Kodo’s four founding members will make a special appearance in turn, with one soloist at each performance. The third work is the long-awaited “Tomoe,” which was originally set to premiere in Asakusa last year.
This lineup will create a festive focal point for our milestone year. We’re looking forward to welcoming audiences to Orchard Hall on this auspicious occasion.
Kodo’s spirit, dexterity, and physicality are constantly honed by the our unyielding quest for new heights in taiko performance. Come and experience the power of taiko and Kodo firsthand at the theater.
