Kenta Nakagome entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre in 2004 and became a Kodo member in 2007. On stage, he predominantly plays taiko, showing his unique prowess through drum solos in pieces such as O-daiko and Yatai-bayashi. He is an orthodox taiko player whose powerful, energetic performances make him a favorite with audiences across the globe. At "Earth Celebration 2015," Nakagome appeared in a special live painting performance entitled "Flame" alongside illustrator Seitaro Kuroda and drummer Tatsuya Nakamura. In 2016, he made his directorial debut at Earth Celebration's opening night "Kodo Village Concert" and he has recently demonstrated a flair for composing, too.
