Nov. 21 (Sat)—22 (Sun), 2020 World Taiko Conference Featuring Kodo Panelists and Video Submissions

The inaugural World Taiko Conference (WTC) will connect the world through taiko. Originally, WTC was planning to bring people together in Japan during the year of the Tokyo Olympics to forge bonds through taiko and share its appeal with a wider global audience. However, the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to gather safely, so the organizers decided to move the main conference content online.

From your corner of the world, you can enjoy a wide range of talks and taiko music submissions via the WTC website and YouTube channel. Two members of the Kodo group will take part in live panel discussions during the conference, and we have also made individual and group video submissions online in the lead up to the event.

We hope you’ll tune in and connect with Kodo and the greater taiko community through WTC on Nov. 21 and 22!
