Performer Kengo Watanabe has decided to part ways with the Kodo Ensemble at the end of May 2021. He will appear on stage with Kodo for the last time at Earth Celebration in August 2020 at the Harbour Market Concerts.
From April 2020, Watanabe will spend a year as an instructor for the next generation of Kodo members at Kodo Apprentice Centre.
This is an early announcement, but we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported his activities with Kodo to date. We hope you’ll cheer Watanabe on in his teaching role from April.
