Hatsune Miku x Kodo Special Performance 2020 ※EVENT CANCELED

[EVENT CANCELED]

We are sorry to announce that our 2020 collaboration with Hatsune Miku, which was postponed on Apr. 24 last year, has been canceled due to the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on event planning.

The official announcement was made today (Jan. 25, 2021) by the presenters, NHK and NHK Promotion, on the event website in Japanese.

We are very sorry to disappoint everyone who was patiently waiting for the rescheduled concert dates. Thank you for your support and understanding during this unprecedented situation.

Kodo is looking forward to collaborating with Hatsune Miku again, as soon as it is safe to do so. Please take care until then and follow Kodo Miku on Twitter for updates.

Hatsune Miku

The “Hatsune Miku” voice synthesizer software was developed by Crypton Future Media. It allows users to make a female character called Hatsune Miku sing songs, simply by entering the lyrics and melody of their choice. Many creators have used Hatsune Miku to make music to share online, which has prompted a wave of interactive user activity in Japan and abroad. First gaining attention as a software character, Hatsune Miku is now popular around the world as a virtual singer with sell-out live performances and her own merchandise. In 2020, Miku embarks on an international concert tour to give performances in Europe, the USA and Canada, followed by large performance events in Tokyo and Osaka. Her popularity and performance activities continue to expand around the globe.
