Sep. 29 (Sun), 2019 Kodo Appearance in “With World-Renowned Kodo: Sado, Treasure Island of Performing Arts” (Sado Is., Niigata)

Special Collaboration featuring Kodo and Sado Traditional Performing Arts

Set sail for Sado Island this fall to experience the nature and local culture that constantly inspires our creative activities. This popular annual event is a great chance for visitors to the island to see Kodo and traditional Sado performing arts in one showcase performance.

Along with Kodo’s original compositions and arrangements, you’ll discover the treasure trove of rhythms and melodies upheld in communities around the island. The lineup includes masked dances Onidaiko and Harigoma, folk songs Ryotsu Jinku, Aikawa Ondo, and Sado Okesa, and more!

Kodo’s performance will last approximately 40 minutes.
