"Iwate Sanriku Chinkon Fukkosai" is an annual festival that began in 2013 to help recover the spirit of Sanriku's festivals and local folk arts in the wake of the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake. These traditions are the emotional and spiritual backbone of the area and when the locals gather to share their arts each summer, the energy they create sends a warm wave of light throughout all of Japan. This year Kodo has been invited to make a special guest appearance at the festival. We hope you'll join us there!
