Kodo Appearance at Hakusan-maru Matsuri Eve Festival

The "Hakusan-maru," a large gallant ship from the final years of the Edo Era, is resident at the Sado Ogi Folk Museum in Shukunegi on Sado Island. Kodo will perform on the eve of the festival held in its honor, right in front of the ship lit up in the night. The locals will also perform an array of traditional folk performing arts. Come back the next day to see the grand vessel outside with its gigantic sail billowing in the summer breeze.
