Tatemata Elementary School in Shibata, Niigata, will close at the end of the 2013 school year. The school was founded in 1890, during the Meiji Era. The "Tatemata Activity Project" has planned a concert to commemorate the school's 124-year history. Come along to enjoy the sounds of the bamboo flute, piano, and harpsichord as they resonate throughout the wooden school building.
