Bunkyo Civic Hall, the venue used for our annual December Concerts in Tokyo, is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. To mark this momentous milestone, there will be several 10th anniversary commemorative events, crowned by a finale performance that features the combined forces of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Kodo. This performance project will debut a new composition by leading composer Taro Iwashiro conducted by Tatsuya Shimono. The concert will also include separate performances by both the Tokyo Philharmonic and Kodo.
