Kiyoko Oi Featured in Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon Memorial Program

In February 1979, Kiyoko Oi ran the Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon with fellow Ondekoza members and became the first Japanese woman to complete a marathon, thus establishing the first record time in Japan for a female marathon runner of 2 hours, 48 minutes, 52 seconds. This marathon will hold its 60th run in 2011, and will be introduced on the TV program Betsudai Densetsu.
