NHK Educational TV’s Himitsu no Chikaland is a weekly programme featuring elementary school children tackling various challenges in music, art, sports and more. One upcoming episode will showcase a group of children who came to experience life at the Kodo Apprentice Centre. Tune in see how the kids flourish under the passionate instruction of Kodo’s own Eiichi Saito.

- This is a two-part feature on wadaiko, spread over two weeks. Kodo will appear in the second part on November 13, when a group of elementary school children come to live in the Kodo Apprentice Centre for 3 days. On November 6, you’ll see former Kodo Apprentice and current kindergarten principal Takashi Asamoto teaching taiko to children.
