Sansai (edible wild plant) gathering and soba-noodle making workshops: An early taste of spring!

Join us for sansai (edible wild plant) gathering and soba-noodle making workshops on the day before the Sado Island Taiko Centre May Festival "Tatako-kan Satsuki Matsuri." Kodo's Yoshikazu Fujimoto, Chieko Kojima, Yoko Fujimoto, Kiyoko Oi, Yasuko Yamaguchi, and Kodo apprentices will be taking part too. Ogi Peninsula is abundant with sansai, and the gathering will be guided by Ogi's sansai expert & haiku poet Mr. Gogyo Akatsuka. Soba-noodle making will be instructed by local soba guru Mr. Katsufumi Ichiyanagi. Come and spend an enjoyable and delicious day in the mountains with Kodo!

Sansai gathering/ Capacity: 10 people (Cooking lesson, lunch, and insurance incl.)
Soba-noodle making/ Capacity: 10 people, Fee: 5000 yen (Soba-noodle making lesson, ingredients, and lunch incl.)
Ages:
12 to adult.

Apply by phone, fax or email, specifying either "sansai gathering" or "Soba-noodle making workshop." We will tell you what to bring after your workshop participation is confirmed.
Application deadline:
April 30 (Fri) Applications accepted in order of arrival, and will be closed when the workshop capacity is filled.
