So we showed him to our rehearsal hall and played <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Yatai-bayashi<\/span> and <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">O-daiko<\/span> for him while he enthusiastically took photos of us drumming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/CIMG5482.jpeg-f.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1647\" alt=\"CIMG5482.jpeg-f\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/CIMG5482.jpeg-f-680x510.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I said to him, &#8220;Since you&#8217;ve come all this way, would you like to play taiko?&#8221; and he had a go at playing both <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Yatai-bayashi<\/span> and <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">O-daiko!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Iura gave us a signed copy of his book, &#8220;Iura Arata no Bijutsu Tanken&#8221; (Arata Iura&#8217;s Fine Arts Exploration).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1645\" alt=\"\u5199\u771f\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/37e3808047553cedb34daa9b1d7ab2a3-340x255.jpg\" width=\"340\" height=\"255\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elnest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 31, Mr. Arata Iura came to Kodo Village while he was holidaying on Sado Island.
