Five members performed, but it felt like a large ensemble concert thanks to the atmosphere created by the warm-hearted Niigata locals filling the audience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_28571.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1187\" alt=\"Photo: Shingo Kawamura\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_28571-340x255.jpg\" width=\"340\" height=\"255\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The weather was beautiful and <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">koi-nobori<\/span>\u00a0(carp streamers, special decorations for Children&#8217;s Day in Japan) were &#8220;swimming&#8221; happily in the sky. The temperature went above 20\u2103 on this spring day, so there\u00a0were some people in short sleeves at the 2pm performance.<\/p>\n<p>Good weather reminds us our summer festival, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/ec\/en\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Earth Celebration&#8221;<\/a> in August!
