Thank you for your support, everyone!<\/p>\n<p>Just like last year, this year there was an array of stalls from shops in Taito Ward set up in the lobby. This kind of lobby setup\u00a0is unusual on a\u00a0Kodo tour and quite unique to our Asakusa performances. The shop clerks wore matching\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">happi<\/span> (workman&#8217;s coats) and their presence made the theater atmosphere very lively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/mystery_asakusa_TO_0187.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2040 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/mystery_asakusa_TO_0187-340x226.jpg\" alt=\"Photo: Takashi Okamoto\" width=\"340\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the first floor, we had an\u00a0exhibition and also set up a\u00a0corner where people could play taiko. It provided a chance for many people to\u00a0play our drums. I hope that the people who had never played taiko before felt a stronger connection to the drums through their hands-on experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/asakusa_tahara_0387ss.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1987 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/asakusa_tahara_0387ss-340x226.jpg\" alt=\"Photo: Takashi Okamoto\" width=\"340\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This time, we also had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/koryu\/index_en.html\">School Workshop Performances<\/a> at two\u00a0schools in Asakusa. For some Kodo members, it was their first time to perform at a school with Kodo. Before we performed outside, I went around the locals to let them know we would be doing this\u00a0and they said\u00a0&#8220;Play taiko as much as you like!&#8221; &#8220;I&#8217;m looking forward to it!,&#8221; etc. Then, they even came along to watch us during the outside performance, so I was so happy! On the final day it was drizzling, but when we started to perform <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Yui,<\/span>, the sun shined on the performers. I will never forget that moment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2528\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/96ef5e7fadc71481cd3b678769e713de-e1406278777709-170x170.jpg\" alt=\"\u4e95\u95a2IMG_4339-20140623-ta-1+\" width=\"90\" height=\"90\" \/><br \/>\nOur Asakusa performances were a success thanks to the\u00a0help of so many people.
