July 18 – 20 Chieko Kojima & Eiichi Saito at<\/span>
\n<\/span>“2014 World Taiko Gathering” (Los Angeles, USA)<\/span><\/h2>\n

This past weekend, we participated in the World Taiko Gathering held in Little Tokyo of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Taiko players from all over the world came together on this wonderful event, and the diversity of bachi bag holders walking around town was a heart-warming sight!<\/p>\n

Outdoor events were held day to night; wonderful workshops, informative discussion sessions, and exciting performances created a festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Chieko Kojima and Eiichi Saito held two workshops each.<\/p>\n

They also participated in the Taiko Nation concert 2014, collaborating with former Kodo member, Kaoru Watanabe, and the host of WTG, TAIKOPROJECT.<\/p>\n

Other international guest artists such as TaikOz from Australia, and Kagemusha Taiko from England shared the stage as well.<\/p>\n

Taiko has expanded outside of Japan in the last few decades, and the don doko don doko rhythm is played in almost every corner of the planet.<\/p>\n

We met and reconnected with so many great friends this weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all again in our future tours abroad!<\/p>\n
