This year a special festival will be held in Nagaoka City to mark the 10th anniversary of the Chuetsu Earthquake and pray for the city's continued recovery from this disaster. The festival will also pray for Tohoku, in the wake of the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake. Kodo and performing arts groups from Tohoku will give performances and take part in exchange with local children in Nagaoka, sharing our hopes for the full revival of these areas with younger and in turn future generations.
Kodo will present a special Heartbeat Project version of its latest production "Kodo One Earth Tour: Eternity." We will also hold taiko workshops for children in Nagaoka, which you are welcome to come and view. We hope to see you there!
