Farewell Message from Jun Akimoto
I worked with Kodo for fourteen years on Sado Island, and then remotely for the past year, but now the time has come for me to part ways with the company. These fifteen years went by in a flash, filled with countless experiences, encounters, and precious, irreplaceable connections. I am truly thankful for everything.
The experience I have gained over the years in music and performing arts, regional revitalization, and human resource development, will be the base of my future activities. Kodo remains within me as a continuous presence, like a heartbeat. I am sincerely grateful to all the presenters and people I have met through my work with Kodo, our audiences around the world, and the Kodo members and staff. Thank you very much.
