From Los Angeles to London and Athens to Istanbul, this year Kodo received standing ovations on countless stages around the world, returning to Japan with renewed aspirations and energy.

The Kodo December Concert Series is a special showcase of the year past in the lives of Kodo members, a public display of the fruits of their labors, and a celebration of experiences gained through a long year of touring. The players pour their hearts and souls into the taiko with each stroke, and in turn each beat draws youth, power, courage, cheer, warmth, kindness, and nostalgia from within the drums. Come and experience for yourself the instantaneous and awe-inspiring spectrum of emotion in each beat.

From Niigata: Take the Sado Kisen car ferry or jetfoil From Niigata City to Ryotsu Port. Then, take the Niigata Kotsu Bus "Honsen" line bound for Sawata/Aikawa, and get off at the "Sawata Bus Station." It is a 5-minute walk to the venue.
