Kodo 'DADAN' Concert

Directed by Kabuki luminary Tamasaburo Bando, the ground-breaking 'One Earth Tour Special' in 2003 and 'Amaterasu' in 2006 tapped into a new potential of expression for Kodo. With his vast experience as a performer and remarkable aesthetic sense, Tamasaburo's first order of business with Kodo was to nurture the talents of the young stage members, the results of which can be clearly seen in Kodo's performances today. For 'Dadan,' Tamasaburo has specially selected a cast of seven members in the pursuit of pushing the extremes of youthful power, concentration, and dynamic physical force. Tamabsaburo Bando's intimate relationship with Kodo promises to reveal itself in a style of artistic direction that draws on the unique individuality and energy of each member. Nine years since Kodo and Tamasaburo Bando first met, this show is sure to reveal a new side to Kodo that is not to be missed.
