Kodo's own veteran performer Motofumi Yamaguchi and Niigata-born junior member Mariko Omi will be traveling to Sasayama to join the Sasayama Jomon-shi Zenyasai "Kaen no Matsuri." The festival will feature taiko, Ainu folk songs, dance and more. Sasayama is a town rich in history, and the concert venue is on a site famous for the artifacts found from excavations of Jomon-period ruins.
