Asano Taiko has been a key source of support for Kodo since the group's inception, but the famed drum makers have been around a lot longer than that. In 1609, the keen craftsmen at Asano created their first drum, and 400 years later it's time for a celebration. From June 5 through 7, there will be numerous concerts, intimate live performances, workshops et al to mark this auspicious milestone. Kodo will be sending our eminent emissary Yoshikazu Fujimoto to join in the festivities.
