This is a taiko workshop just for students. Young taiko players from across the globe are invited to join together, open up your hearts, and let your youthful energy shine! All you need for this workshop is your enthusiasm.

Profile

Masami Miyazaki (Kodo)

Masami Miyazaki entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre Programme in 1998, and became a full performing member of Kodo in 2001. On stage, she plays mainly taiko and the kokyu (Japanese string instrument), but she is perhaps best known for her cheerful and high-spirited personality both on and off the stage. One of Kodo’s primary workshop instructors, Masami has given taiko lessons to a wide variety of participants all across the globe.

3,000 yen (Please bring drumsticks, either ho or hinoki bachi. You will be playing an okedo-daiko.)
Capacity:
25 people, students aged 12 & over (junior high, senior high, or university students) with taiko experience.
