Welcome to Kodo's home, Sado Island! What kind of music do you think you can create in this beautiful natural environment? Come play the taiko and find out! Anyone can join in. Let’s put our hearts and heads together to send good vibrations out across the island.

Masami Miyazaki

Masami Miyazaki entered the Kodo Apprentice Center Programme in 1998, and became a full performing member of Kodo in 2001. On stage, she plays mainly taiko and the kokyu (Chinese violin), but she is perhaps best known for her cheerful and high-spirited personality both on and off the stage. One of Kodo’s primary workshop instructors, Masami has given taiko lessons to a wide variety of participants all across the globe.
