
Come to the place where it all begins- the source of Kodo's creativity- the Kodo Village. Feel the warmth of the wooden structure and the palpable spirit of drummers in training. This concert features casual conversation and mellow music by a special Kodo ensemble. Enjoy a rare combination of shinobue (bamboo flute), voice and piano in this excellent acoustic space.

- Outgoing buses leave from the EC information Centre at 10:30 via Ogi Gymnasium at 10:35, and returning buses leave from the Kodo Village at 12:20.(Parking is not available on site, so please use this bus service.) *Please note that there is no Kodo Village Rehearsal Hall Open House this year.
Kodo Viilage
Kodo Village is situated on 25 acres of land on the Ogi Peninsula at the southern tip of Sado Island. The village is comprised of the Rehearsal Hall (which includes a recording studio), the Main Office Building (reassembled from the timbers of a 200 year-old farmhouse), a dormitory for young members, a workshop, two guesthouses, as well as other facilities. The lives of 50 Kodo members from throughout Japan are centered around this village.
