The time there is the total opposite from day &amp; night in Japan. There are many Japanese-Argentinean people due to its history of immigrants from Japan, and they uphold Japanese culture there with great care. We met people who love Japanese taiko, who make taiko by hand, who formed taiko groups and, of course, who play taiko. They all started playing taiko without any teachers. I was very impressed by their attitude towards taiko.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_964\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_0014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-964\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-964\" alt=\"\u5287\u5834\u3067\u306e\u30ea\u30cf\u30fc\u30b5\u30eb\u306e\u69d8\u5b50\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_0014-340x255.jpg\" width=\"340\" height=\"255\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-964\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rehearsals at the theater<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Yoko and I were invited to Argentina and we did our best to tell them all that we could. We stayed there for 10 days and after a series of workshops and rehearsals, we gave a concert. It was a wonderful, memorable performance with Shinzui Daiko, Medetaiko, Graciela Nakasone, and former apprentice Yoohey Kaito who came all the way to join us from Brazil.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_967\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_99061.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-967\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-967\" alt=\"Photo: Yoshikazu Fujimoto\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_99061-340x255.jpg\" width=\"340\" height=\"255\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-967\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">On April 6, this tent theater had a full house.
