This was my first experience of performing on the sea. I was both really excited about the new ferry and really worried about getting seasick.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_5122.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-917\" alt=\"Photo: Mitsunaga Matsuura\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_5122-680x510.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We set sail and our performance commenced!<\/p>\n<p>We began with okedo-daiko piece <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Ugachi<\/span>, which we played as we wove our way through the audience. Then we performed <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Hobashira Okoshi Ondo<\/span>, a tradtional workmen&#8217;s song for raising the mast on sail boats. Kenta Nakagome played <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Odaiko<\/span>, then to finish with a bang we all performed <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Yatai-bayashi<\/span>.
