The fourth\u00a0piece on the \u201cEternity\u201d programme is called\u00a0Seiten. <\/span>It is a solo piece composed by Masayuki Sakamoto, which he performs using\u00a0one okedo-daiko<\/span>\u00a0(barrel drum).<\/p>\n

Sakamoto\u00a0worked\u00a0alongside Mr. Yasuo\u00a0Asano, the company president\u00a0of taiko maker Asano Taiko, to create the particular okedo-daiko that he\u00a0plays for this piece. It was developed through trial and error and has a special\u00a0feature: the ability to tune each head separately. Kodo is really particular about sound and the Asano Taiko craftsmen have tremendous skills, so the combination of their fine attention to detail produced this special drum.<\/p>\n
