Greatly troubled by this situation, all the other gods &amp; goddesses came\u00a0together to\u00a0discuss what could be done. <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Kuwa-wake<\/span> depicts\u00a0this scene from\u00a0the famous tale.<\/p>\n<p>To express that conversation between the gods, I focused on incorporating elements such as combinations of rambling changes of rhythm and pianissimo sounds. <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Kusa-wake<\/span>\u00a0differs from other Kodo compositions to date in that it makes the most of hollow\u00a0sounds as well as hearty\u00a0sounds. This piece\u00a0incorporates\u00a0a wide, dynamic\u00a0range\u00a0of volume from really tiny sounds to\u00a0huge, strong sounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/mystery_Chigasaki_0954-ss.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4775\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/mystery_Chigasaki_0954-ss-340x226.jpg\" alt=\"Photo: Takashi Okamoto\" width=\"340\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are theatrical elements to our performance of this piece\u00a0in &#8220;Amaterasu,&#8221; so when we perform this piece in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kodo.or.jp\/news\/20150127oet_en.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Kodo One Earth Tour: Mystery,&#8221;<\/a> we\u00a0put those theatrical elements\u00a0into our musical expression instead.
