About Friends of Kodo

Friends of Kodo is dedicated to bringing Kodo closer to our audience and fellow taiko enthusiasts. Membership is available to all. As well as receiving Kodo Beat, members also get special advance ticket reservations for selected concerts in Japan, the chance to buy original goods available only to them, and selected discounts on a range of Kodo goodies.

Joining Friends of Kodo

If you would like to join as a Group A or Group B member (see below for details), please use the payment form to pay by credit card. Please note that all prices are in yen, and the dollar amount billed to your credit card will be based on the exchange rate at the time your order is processed. Upon receiving your payment we will send you a membership card and the latest issue of the Kodo Beat.

We also offer this service in Japanese. A Japanese newsletter is available. (8-20 page / monthly). Please click the below link for details.

Services:

1. Subscription to the 'Kodo Beat' (Quarterly English newsletter).
2. Discount on original Kodo merchandise.
3. Priority participation in Kodo special projects such as the Kodo Juku (taiko workshop).

5. Annual receipt of Kodo goods or Sado Product: For members living abroad, we are sending original Kodo merchandise or various souvenirs from our tours. Members in Japan may chose to receive Sado-grown persimmon instead.
